Giving is an important spiritual discipline for several reasons:
It's an act of worship. We give back to God as a response to His generosity toward us. He generously poured out His grace on us—something we did not deserve—so that we might be set freed from the bondage of sin and death. Through the resurrection of Christ, He has given us new life. He's given us all we need, so we respond with a praise offering through giving.
It's an act of trust. We need money to live on, yet we willingly give to the work of Christ, trusting that He will supply all we need.
It's an act of service. The money we give to Fair Haven Baptist Church is used for service in the kingdom of God. We are very open in what it received and how it is distributed, and all of it is used to help the church in its call to reach the lost, disciple believers, and serve those in need,
