Philip Gant

Philip was born and raised in Shelbyville, TN. He graduated from Shelbyville Central High School in 2011. He then attended Tennessee Tech University where he graduated with a bachelors of science in Communication. While at Tennessee Tech, he led worship for the Baptist Collegiate Ministry for 4 years as well as Centrikid Camps for 2 years. Upon graduation, he worked as the Music Ministry Associate at First Baptist Cookeville part time and full time as an admissions counselor at Tennessee Tech until he surrendered to God’s call to go into full-time ministry. In 2016, Philip and his wife, Katie, moved to Houston, TX and lived there for two and a half years while he served as the Minister of Worship and Youth at Clear Lake Baptist Chruch. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Discipleship Degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
He met his wife Katie while attending Tennessee Tech University, and they got married in 2014. They currently have one son, Andrew, who was born September of 2017 and another son coming in June 2019. As a family, they love to be outside and find any excuse to go outside when the weather is nice. This usually results in a casual game of disc golf or as he likes to call it “hiking with a purpose.”
Philip loves people and enjoys getting to meet and talk to new people.
